Hi everyone! Here today to share this gorgeous little cafe with you out in Sangin-dong. A few weeks back I was having a rotten day at work, but luckily some classes cancelled so I could leave early, hooray! I asked in a group chat for a yummy place to get cake near my academy and someone kindly shared Cafe Onna with me, and I’m so glad they did! So, I wanted to share this cute little place with you guys too 🙂

The cafe is located in the popular Sangin area, roughly at the midpoint between both Sangin and Wolbae Stations. I walked from Sangin Station and it only took around 10 minutes to get there. This neighbourhood is popping if you haven’t been, with loads of places for food and drinks, a great night out if you need a break from downtown, but I digress. Cafe Onna can be found by a little park, further away from the busier drinking areas.

Aesthetically the cafe is very cute, with all black and wooden matching furniture and dotted with plants. A very relaxing vibe. There was seating in the entrance area, and then a side room with some other seating areas tucked away. I wanted somewhere to chill and finish my book with some cake so it was the perfect spot. The owner spoke English too which is always a bonus. I would prefer cosier seating for reading, however this place was nearby and did the trick.

At the front there is a big fridge where you can see all the cakes and confectionaries on offer. I chose a slice of the yellow cheese cake. The drinks menu offers a range of coffees, teas, smoothies, ades, and seasonal drinks. As I said, I had had a ROUGH day at work, but then I spotted Irish coffee on the menu… The owner said it contained whisky so I thought why the heck not haha ^^; I found a seat and waited for her to prepare my order.

When the cake came out it was covered in a topping of grated… something? I’ve seen this at dessert cafes before but honestly have no idea what it is. However, it was very yummy and complemented the cake well. The Irish coffee was so rich and creamy, you could definitely taste the whisky and it was just what I needed on a cold and miserable day. I really enjoyed sitting sipping it while I finished my book. Overall if you’re in the Sangin area, or craving an Irish coffee haha, this is the perfect spot to drop by!
