Hi everyone! I’m back today with a recommendation for a yummy sandwich shop located a short walk from Banwoldang Station. I don’t know about you but I LOVE a good sarnie, and this place is perfect for a spot of brunch any day of the week. Get there early though, as while Kai’s is open from the super early (for Korea lol) 8am, last orders are at 5. This place can get PACKED, so plan ahead to get there before the lunch rush!

Kai’s can be found on the cute little art street, leading down South away from Banwoldang exit 9. This street is famous for cute coffee shops and brunch spots, check my map for other recommendations in the area. It’s only about a 10 minute walk from the station, so close enough to downtown to do some shopping or hang out after if you want to 🙂

The outside is easy to spot with the modern white signage with cute lettering. Inside also has a fresh and modern feel, there are plants hanging from various corners and wine bottles along the walls. How European lol. The furnishings are all wood and surprisngly comfy! With how busy this place is it wasn’t easy to get photos but I did my best, you can at least get a feel for the vibe there. Also, check out their sign board for information about the history of the reuben sandwich. It’s not always easy to get a reuben here so if you’re craving one def check out this place!

The menu offers a variety of yummy brunch items, including sandwiches, soups, French toast, and a range of coffees and drinks. Prices are reasonable, with the most expensive sandwich being the reuben at 16,000. However, the daily sandwich is only 6k, bargain basement over here. Ask staff for today’s menu. They also do Egg In Hell (shakshuka), a popular brunch item these days!

I’ve been a couple of times and never been disappointed with their sandwiches or soups. My Korean friends introduced me to this place as they’d heard it was a hot spot and it definitely lived up to the hype! The bread on every visit has been fresh and tasty, and the soups are rich and have a depth of flavour. I’ve included some photos below, buuuut I took these a while back so am having trouble remembering what we ordered ^^; However, I think in my visits between friends and I we’ve tried most of the menu items, so whatever you order I’m sure it won’t disappoint!
