Hey all! Before I start this post a quick disclaimer, my phone isn’t the best at night pics so sorry if any came out a little blurry… HOWEVER! Do not let this deter you from checking out the Suseong Light Art Show before it finishes! The show is running until January 2nd 2023 so you still have a little time to get down and check it out.
It makes for a lovely date night because you can cuddle up in the cold winter air and take a nice walk around the lake looking at the pretty lights together ❤ Stop off for a hot drink at one of the many cafes in the neighbourhood to make it a perfect date night out.
Or, take a bunch of friends and get some fun selfies and pics for your Insta! If you are doing that I would suggest going earlier in the day though. We went around 7pm and it was sooooo dark, so we had a hard time getting good pics haha. I’d suggest hitting the park around sunset for nice pics then you can still enjoy the view of the lights at night after.
We went on a Sunday evening in freeeeeezing whether, but despite the cold and dark we had a lovely time! There’s a lot of cool artworks so we spent a good hour looking around. My personal favourite though was the giant frog Ddubi! If it hadn’t been so cold I would have spent hours sat watching it bob around on the lake ahaha. It was verrrry cute! I tried to get a picture with it but couldn’t because of the bad lighting 😦 Again, I’ve seen way better pics on Insta so go a bit earlier for the best shots if that’s your thing. If not just go and enjoy the view!
Also, while you’re in the area, right by the lake is a plethora of cute cafes and yummy restaurants that you can check out too! Take some time to explore and find a great spot, or check out Mies Container for yummy Western food, La Salud for American BBQ, or 17 Gil for great Korean eats. Just make sure to visit before the show ends!
