So if you’ve ever been downtown (which I am sure you have) and gotten off at Banwoldang Exit 13 then I am sure you will have spotted this restaurant across the street. Having lived in Daegu for years I always walked past here and never thought much of it, HOO BOY THAT WAS A MISTAKE! I’m currently taking Korean classes at the YMCA and this place is close by, so some classmates suggested getting dinner there before class and I am so glad they did because I have been missing out! If tasty salads and vegetarian options are your thing, keep scrolling down!
The restaurant is spread over two floors, when you enter the counter is directly ahead with the menu board above it. There is some downstairs seating but there are loads more places to sit upstairs. This restaurant is also a great spot for people watching, so if you’re into that kinda thing a perfect little spot for some food and a drink! (They have beer too!). After ordering from their extensive selection (menu below) they will give you a buzzer and you can chose a seat and wait. I mention the buzzer because for some reason the ones here are crazy strong and will give you a heart attack when they go off haha. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
A bonus of this store is they have vegetarian options (yay!) and one of our classmates is a vegetarian and she really rates the food here. I went for the chicken and avocado salad. The chicken is fresh cooked and super yummy with a little seasoning, plus you can choose a dressing to add too. It comes with avocado, tomatoes, onions, leaves, and eggs, and is so tasty and fresh. I go every week before class now haha. So next time you’re downtown and fancy a little healthy food, check out Kki-ni with Salad and Soup!
