Plastic Channel (채널플라스틱) – downtown/Jung-gu

Address: 대구 중구 동성로 71-1 3층

So this has got to be one of my favourite downtown cafes because it is just so unique! Plastic Channel has such a cool artsy vibe, maybe because the owner is the artist who created all the pieces on display there! He speaks English too so always a bonus 🙂 Sadly no kids allowed, but if you’re looking for a chill and funky place for a coffee and some artsy ice cream cake then keep on reading!

The cafe is hidden up a set of stairs off the main street. Head on up and walk in. It’s pretty busy on weekends, the first time I tried to go there were no seats, so we went back on a weekday night and there were less people. Take a seat and you can see the menu and order at the middle area. The cafe offers loads of cool unique drinks and cakes so great time to try something new!

We ordered the blue and yellow ades (6,000 each) and a strawberry mousse cake (7,000). The cake is super fancy and comes in a little tray thing so fun to reveal! The drinks were fresh and nice, and the cake wasn’t what we expected (kind of a frozen ice cream feel?) but was tasty nonetheless!

And of course we got a chance to take a load of fun and cute pictures, just please don’t touch the artwork! If you’re downtown this is a must see on your list when cafe hopping. Let us know what you think on Facebook or Instagram!
