So if you’ve been in Korea a while you’ll know that there are seasonal trends for photos popular with Korean Instagrammers. For example, cherry blossoms in spring, or cosmos flowers in Autumn. From maybe last year or the year before, pink muhly has become the hottest plant for autumn photo trends. Check the #핑크뮬리 tag if you want to see what I’m talking about, with almost 900k posts it’s evidently a hit trend!

Daegu also has some spots where you can find bushes of pink muhly and get your Insta game on with some cute pics surrounded by these pink plants. We went to check out E-world, as they have a garden area with seasonal plants and flowers perfect for some fun photos. There are other spots in Daegu too, and I’ll try to cover some at the end of the post. For now, I want to share the E-world spot as their pink muhly festival starts tomorrow (18th October, 2021) so it is a prime time to go!

So E-world is a pretty good spot to go for pictures, and has lots of bushes in their garden area. You do have to pay to get in, but you can get discount tickets here that include entry to the park, ride passes, and a pass to go up 83 Tower. The price is so cheap compared to the regular price so I recommend buying this and having a fun day out as well! Sadly, the day we went it had been raining over night so the plants were a little sad and it was overcast, but we got some great shots nonetheless!

The garden can be found in the main park, if you go up the escalators then keep following the path up. You’ll come to a second set of escalators (there’s a ramp to the left if you need it) that take you up to a kind of square, with a few cafes, shops, and the haunted house. The garden entrance is on your left as you approach the square.

The garden is fair sized with loads of cute areas for photo opportunities. There were some photo zone booth type things (we didn’t do them as we just wanted mulhy pics), and a huge moon (be best for night pics), and a set of infinity stairs (tbh I’ve seen better ones at cafes so gave it a miss). So lots of spots to choose from! We just went straight for the flower fields as that was what we came for.

The pink muhly was spotted around with most of it located towards the back of the field. There was a frame set up with 83 Tower in the background making for some cute pictures! If you stand a bit further back from the frame than you would expect you can also get some nice shots like you are deep in a muhly field. There was also a Love sign photozone but it was covered in middle school kids so we decided to skip it haha.

We also stopped off at this cute tree swing. It’s decorated with flowers with the cosmos flowers as a backdrop. We had a lot of fun playing on the swing and taking some fun pictures ^^

There were other photo zones in the flower fields too, like this mirror and another love sign. The only problem was the flowers were a little sad looking, I’m not sure if this was due to the weather or the fact that it’s coming to season end so you might want to visit soon to avoid disappointment!

If you don’t want to pay the entrance fee, or E-world is a bit far for you, check out some other hot muhly spots below! (DISCLAIMER: I haven’t visited these other spots!!! I have no idea where the muhly is or how much there is either. I would recommend checking out the Instagram tag I mentioned above to scout places in advance of making a trip so you aren’t disappointed.)
