So my friend (and fellow blogger) has been raving to me about OBSD for a while now, and I kept seeing it pop up in the Daegu Facebook groups too so I knew I would have to give this place a try. OBSD is short for ‘obsessed’, and after visiting I can say that this place is aptly named! The only issue is it is a bit of a mission to get to if you don’t live nearby (just North of the airport, you can bus there from Ayangyo Station), however you won’t be disappointed if you make the trip.
The inside is clean with a funky vibe and lots of North American paraphernalia. I believe the chef used to live in Canada, probably why he’s spot on with the Western cuisine! There isn’t a whole lot of seating sadly, 4 tables that each seat two people. We were a party of three so pulled 2 tables together. It was only a Wednesday night and the other tables filled up, plus a lot of people came in for take-out so I guess thsi place is pretty popular. Wanna know why?
IT’S THE FOOD OF COURSE!!! The burgers here are to die for! I got the pulled pork sandwich combo (option of salad or fries and a drink) and it came topped with cheese, jalapenos, and 2 onion rings. Onion rings!!!! First time I’ve had them in Korea! The pulled pork was soo yummy and the serving size was perfect, espeically with the salad. Full but not dying haha. I polished the whole thing off within minutes. My friends got the chicken burger (one thigh, one breast) and both were equally satisfied with their order. Guess I’ll have to try that next time 😉
There’s several menu options so plenty to try, plus they do breakfast! The pulled pork was 7,800 plus 4,500 for the combo (adding salad and an iced amerciano). The chicken burgers start at 5,000 for one patty and again can be upgraded to a combo.
