Hidden away on a little backstreet near Songhyeon Station (송현역, line 1) is Cafe Dada:18. As you walk down the little pathway from the main road you enter a beautiful garden area with trees, plants, and fairy lights. A perfect hidden gem away from the busy streets to stop for coffee, brunch, or even cocktails (!?!).
It’s clear to see from the outside that one thing Dada:18 does well is ~aesthetic~. The garden and outdoors seatings areas are beautiful, perfect for a date night. Or go solo like me and read Game of Thrones (living that nerd life). If you aren’t feeling the outdoors enter through the first floor to find more gorgeous decor and seating, and the counter where you can place your order.

Dada:18 offers a wide range of drinks and snacks. You can get all your usual coffee shop coffees, teas, ades, smoothies, etc. However, they also offer a range of bottled beers and cocktails, as well as brunches, sides, and desserts. I stopped by on a Sunday morning so, while I do love a good cocktail, I decided to go for a grade ade. After I ordered I headed upstairs to check out the second floor while they made my drink.

The second floor had a couple of rooms with more cosy seats, and a balcony overlooking the garden area with MORE seats. You’ll be spoiled for choice on where to sit! I sat on a cosy cheair next to the open doors on the second floor. It was a warm day and there was a lovely breeze. When it was ready I collected my drink, and it was served with some bread and jam as service. Lovely! I settled down for a little reading session while I supped my grade ade.

Over this is a gorgeous little spot to hang out with a huge offering of drinks and food, and so many spots to sit and enjoy yourself, whether alone, on a date, or with a group of friends. I will definitely back in the future to try the food and cocktails, and will update on my experience then! If you go before me please let me know your thoughts either here, on Facebook, or Instagram 🙂
