I’ve been on a salad kick lately so I’ve been hunting down new salad and sandwich places to try. A friend and I were planning a little trip up Apsan for an evening picnic, so it seemed like the perfect time to check out Hyli! This restaurant is located a short walk from Apsan Cafe street and an even shorter walk from Anjirang gopchang street! So a nice option if you aren’t in the mood for intestines haha.
The inside has a fresh and modern feel, with seating available. It’s not huge but there were maybe four or five tables. We went on a Thursday night and there was a few people sat in, and they seemed pretty busy making delivery orders so I guess they must be popular! We ordered a salad and sandwich for take out and sat while they made it up. FYI it’s all made fresh to order, so we were waiting for about 10 to 15 minutes. They also mentioned we could have ordered in advance for pick up, so that might be an option if you don’t want to wait around!

Their menu includes a range of salad toppings like chicken, steak, shrimp, avocado (for vegetarians!) priced at 8,900 to 9,900 each, as well as several sandwich fillings like bulgogi, crab, and cranberry chicken priced between 5,900 and 6,900.
After we got our food we took a cab over to Apsan to ride the cablecar up and eat. Unfortunately by the time we sat down the sun was already setting, so apologies for the poor image quality! I should have snapped some when it was still light but ah well.
We had ordered the steak salad with balsamic dressing and a chicken and cranberry sandwich. The sandwich was DELICIOUS and I def want to go back and try more of their fillings. The salad had some odd stuff in (as Korean salads often do lol) like jelly (???) but overall it was good, maybe a little heavy on the corn (again, this is Korea). The steak was yummy though so enjoyed that bit! Overall a great stop off for a picnic dinner if you’re headed towards Apsan way! Have you visited Hyli? Leave a comment and let me know!
