Hive (하이브) – Palgongsan/Dong-gu

Cute rooftop with loads of photo zones!

Address: 대구 동구 파계로 653

While Palgongsan is a bit out of the city you are absolutely spoiled for choice with amazing cafes and restaurants around here! After a meal with some friends we decided to drop by Hive for some coffees and early birthday cake (this was back in April right before my birthday :D). So let’s see what Hive has to offer!

Hive is set out over several floors with lots of stairs taking you up to the rooftop past several other seating areas. You can place your order at the counter, they offer all the usual coffees, ades, teas, etc as well as croiffles, cakes, and even a brunch set (which we didn’t try I just saw online haha). We got a drink each, a chocolate croiffle, and a slice of cake and headed on up to the next floor to find a seat.

We sat and had our cakes and drinks and sang happy birthday ^^ To be honest the cakes were not mind blowingly special but tasted fine. The main reason we wanted to come here was for cute pics, and we’ll get to that highlight in a moment… but first I just wanted to say it was a shame we went so late at night, I saw pics of the views on Naver and it looks amazing! I’d love to come back when it’s light and see!

So the highlight for me and the main reason to visit Hive is their rooftop! They have so many cute zones for taking pictures up here, like the picnic basket set up in front of the Hive sign, the swingset, and nice views (when it’s not dark lol). We spent faaaaaaaar too long up here taking some cute (and some ridiculously silly) pictures. It was super fun! Eventually we got tired and headed for the bus, fyi the bus stop is kinda on a backstreet so ladies! Don’t go alone at night, it’s pretty quiet! We were in a group of three so felt fine 🙂 Have you been to Hive? What did you think? Let me know on the FB or Insta page!
