This beautiful little cafe is tucked away on a little backstreet, and ever though we were following the map we almost missed it. This hidden gem is only a short walk from Jungangro exit 3, but as it’s set back from the main street you wouldn’t be able to tell it was there! Enter by the large front gate to be greeted by a magical fairy light garden area! i am a sucker for fairy lights so after I saw pics online this place was immediately on my hit list haha.
Majubom is perfect for a warm spring or autumn day, as it boasts a lot of outdoor seating both in the cute little garden (with fake cherry tree!) and on the second floor veranda. Sadly we went on a kind of chilly day at the end of winter so decided to head straight inside, so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor seating (next time!). Inside the interior was modern and fresh, with lots of plants, artwork, and cubby holes. The perfect spot for fun piccies, yay!
We placed our order at the first floor counter then spent some time exploring the cafe as they prepared our drinks and cake. The cafe has a couple of rooms on the ground floor, including one with cute little window seats and cat cushions. Adorable! Upstairs has some cute spots too, my favourite was the yellow sofa with the picture. It matched my outfit perfectly! Don’t forget to bring your camera if you visit, as you will defnitely want to get some cute photos.
We ordered a drink each and a cake to share, as we’d just had a big dinner and felt stuffed! I had the fruitade which was pretty yummy and refreshing! This cafe has seasonal drinks and cakes so worth a visit just to see what’s on offer. We also ordered the chocolate log, that looks like a log complete with chocolate axe! I really enjoyed the chocolate coating, inside was a kind of cake and jam filling? I didn’t expect the jam, but what’s another Korean surprise after all these years 😂 Regardless it was yummy! A great spot for an after dinner coffee and novelty cake.
