So as I’ve mentioned before I’m a bit of an Insta addict, and knew I’d have to try this place after several friends popped up on my feed eating these magical rainbow bagels. So after visiting the board game cafe with a few friends on a Sunday afternoon, we fancied a little snacky snack as we were peckish from all the gaming. It was time to finally try Truly Baker!

The cafe is located a little south of downtown central, between Banwoldang and Kyungdae subway stations. It’s well worth the little trek though, even just visually it’s worth it as the cafe has a cute American retro vibe with a menu to match. I love the aesthetic and it’s a great place for some cute Insta pics too!

The menu includes a range of bagels like original, onion, choco, and rainbow. You can also select from a variety of cream cheese based fillings, with exciting flavours like honey rainbow, nut jalapeno, and orea choco fudge. They also offer a Signature Sandwich (6,500) or the Truly Brunch (8,500/10,000 with Americano) if you’re feeling hungry. I’ve also heard great things about their range of shakes, but when I visited wasn’t hungry enough to justify a shake AND bagel 😦 Gonna have to visit again and update on the shakes I guess hehe 😉

I went for a rainbow bagel with plain cream cheese filling, and also got an onion bagel with cream cheese as take out for bf at home. I’d heard the rainbow bagels were a little doughy compared to the regular ones, but wanted a cute bagel shot so didn’t care. In the end it was quite tasty anyway, with loads of filling so I wasn’t disappointed! It was 5,000 for one bagel with cream cheese. Not the cheapest but not crazy either. I 100% wanna come back again and try the brunch menu and shakes, maybe I’ll see you there!
