The area around Suseong Lake is known for trendy eating spots and cafes, but I have to say a personal favorite of mine is Mies Container. Located in the block of restaurants just East of the Lake, the restaurant has a ‘container’ theme. The inside has wooden flooring and a modern feel all in blacks, whites, and greys. The artwork and posters on the walls give it a artsy/trendy vibe. The big windows let in loads of light too, but sadly no views of the lake but that’s fine because you won’t need to look outside anyway as the restaurant has such a fresh and fancy feel~

A perfect spot for dinner with friends!

The menu has a load of different options, I’ve been several times and still not tried everything but here are a few of my personal recommendations. I hope you’ll go try them! I love the BBQ plate (23,000) which is a good portion for two people. It includes chicken, fries, chips, salad, and a selection of dips on the side.

Delicious BBQ Plate!

They also have a selection of pastas, risottos, and deep dishes. Pictured to the far right below is the Bulgogi Cream Cheese (16,900) which was like a deconstructed deep dish bulgogi pizza. Super yummy and filling! To the left of this is the Seafood Cream Risotto (14,700) which was also rich and delicious. The image below shows the Salad Spaghetti (15,500) which was basically just a salad and spaghetti but was a light accompaniment to the creamy, heavier dishes.

I couldn’t find a photo but I’d also highly recommend Bacon Potato deep dish pizza (16,300). I had it the first time I visited and absolutely loved it but forgot to snap a pic, sorry! I do think the menu changes on occassion so can’t gurantee every item will be there, but they have always had similar items whenever I’ve been and never been disappointed by what I’ve ordered.

I’d honestly make the trip out to Suseong just to come here, and have done a few times haha. There is onsite parking but only a couple of spots, so a warning if you drive it can get pretty busy on the weekends. When we went on a week night we had no trouble parking though. Plus as it’s right by the Lake so after eating the perfect spot for a walk and coffee!
